Kilimanjaro

June 24, 2020 to July 07, 2020
Tanzania and Kenya
We are climbing Mt Kilimanjaro to help MOHI purchase land to build a camp outside of the city of Nairobi. The camp will be a place where young people can get out of the polluted environment of the slums to draw close to God in the beauty of his creation. While they are growing spiritually through worship and Bible teaching the camp they will also learn how to care for all of God’s creation through sustainable agriculture, “green” practices, planting trees, and recycling. Before we climb Kili we will spend time meeting many of the precious kids at the school, doing home visits in the slums to pray with families, and worshipping with our brothers and sisters in Kenya. Although this trip is a fundraiser for students at Mission of Hope International (MOHI) via Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF) --- the portion contributed to the trip participants is NOT tax deductible.

We are climbing Mt Kilimanjaro to help MOHI purchase land to build a camp outside of the city of Nairobi. Discipleship Discovery Camp will be a place where young people can get out of the polluted environment of the slums to draw close to God in the beauty of his creation. While they are growing spiritually through worship and Bible teaching the camp they will also learn how to care for all of God’s creation. An emphasis of the camp will be to teach young people sustainable agriculture, “green” practices, planting trees, and recycling. Before we climb Kili we will spend time meeting many of the precious kids at the school, doing home visits in the slums to pray with families, and worshipping with our brothers and sisters in Kenya.
